Glossary/Campaign budget
What is a campaign budget?
Short answer
A campaign budget is the full amount a brand sets aside for one campaign with creators. It covers not only fees, but also production, shipping products, paid promotion of the material and your own team’s time. Splitting those parts up front lets you check later what really brought the result, instead of judging everything by one shared cost.
What exactly is a campaign budget?
A spending plan tied to one goal and one period, not a pile of random invoices. Before the invitations go out, the brand knows how much goes on fees, how much on production and shipping, and how much is left for promoting the finished material. Without that split, after the campaign nobody can say whether the choice of creators failed or there was simply no money left for reach.
What does a campaign budget consist of?
Four parts worth writing out separately:
Creator fees — usually the largest line, counted together with surcharges for advertising rights and exclusivity.
Production and logistics: samples, shipping, returns, sometimes the creator’s travel or renting a location.
Paid promotion of the finished material, if the brand wants to show it beyond the creator’s community.
A reserve for revisions and shifted deadlines, plus the time of the team running the campaign.
Why write the budget out before the start?
Because without a split into parts, every assessment of the results is guesswork. A brand that counted only the fees does not know afterwards whether the material was weak or simply nobody saw it. Planning ahead also lets you talk fairly with creators: instead of asking for a discount, you can match the scope to the amount you really have.

Frequently asked questions
From what amount does a campaign with creators make sense?
From one that lets you invite several creators instead of one. A single post rarely settles anything, because there is nothing to compare it with. We give rate ranges for each industry on every niche page.
Does the cost of a product sent to a creator count into the budget?
Yes, at production cost, together with shipping. With barter it is often the only real cost, so leaving it out understates spending and artificially improves the picture of how the whole campaign paid off.
How much should you leave for promoting the material?
Enough that the best recordings do not end after a day on the creator’s profile. It is worth planning this part separately and starting it only once you can see which material holds up as an ad.
