Glossary/UGC creator

Who is a UGC creator?

Short answer

A UGC creator is someone who films material to order for a brand — and the brand publishes it on its own channels, in an ad or on a product page. They do not sell reach, they sell the ability to show a product so that it looks like an honest recommendation rather than a commercial.

What exactly does a UGC creator do?

The same thing a happy customer does — only deliberately and repeatably. They know where to put the phone, how long a shot can run before it gets boring, and how to open a video so nobody scrolls past it. The result is a file handed to the brand, not a post on their own profile.

How do you start getting UGC tasks?

Four steps that cover the way from zero to a first task:

  • Film three pieces of your own about products you actually use — that is your portfolio.

  • Show different formats in them: an unboxing, a demonstration of use, a short opinion to camera.

  • Take care of light and sound; a phone is enough, background noise is not.

  • Fill in your profile on the platform and answer tasks from the catalogue instead of waiting to be invited.

How is a UGC creator different from an influencer?

It comes down to what the brand buys. From an influencer it buys the post and access to their community; from a UGC creator it buys the material itself and the right to use it. That is why follower count is not the entry ticket in this role, but a portfolio is.

Already know what you need?

Describe the task: the format, the deadline and the amount or the barter. Creators from your industry will apply on their own, and you choose from the applications.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a UGC creator earn in Poland?

The rate depends on the format and the number of pieces. We give the ranges for each industry on every niche page, next to pricing for photos and posts.

Do you need professional gear?

No. The material is supposed to look like an ordinary person filmed it — a phone with good light does a better task here than a camera and a studio.

Who can use the material once it is filmed?

The brand, within the scope written into the task: where it publishes, on which market and for how long. Without that clause the rights stay with you.
